He is describing a lovely ideal. The description in Married Love of all the various non-ideal relationships I find sad and depressing. I'm not growing any younger. I also agree with virginity for women (and men). Swedenborg also wrote that men should wait until they are married before consenting to sex, unless they are unable to control themselves safely, in which case they could partner with 1 women who has already been sexually active.
